What is the difference in a shock sensor and a air resonance shock sensor

Thanks

the shock picks up vibrations, the air sensor detects the pressure change

I would go with the schock sensor.    The air sensor tends to false now and then.   go for the shock sensor.

I am sorry to hijack the post, Bob. But i have a similar question.

What is the difference between shock sensor and glass breakage sensor?

I will be installing the vip rs3200+ system in my 02 Camry LE, the system came with the glass breakage sensor  and the microphone. I would like to add the shock sensor as well.

But the unit doesn't come with the wiring schematic. So, i don't know which circuit to splice to.

Anyone have any experience with rs3200+ ? or if the glass breakage sensor is similar to shock sensor?

Thanks.

the shock sensor is just that....it picks up shock waves or vibrations in the car.....the glass sensor picks up sound...such as the glass breaking....the first one can be a pain if you have a bad thunder storm..if you are wanting to protect the door locks, i would go with a AU-83 or a AU-86 by omega. the 86 is a glass and a piezo all in one. the piezo is about the size of a quater and will protect about a 3-6 in circle around the door lock....work GREAT!
