i just recently bought a keyless entry/ remote start alarm for my truck.  There was an alarm already installed but not being used. Anyways, my question is, there are four wires coming out of the driver side door. The alarm instructions ask for (+) door trigger,(-) door trigger, (-) unlock and (-) lock. Now how do i tell which is which. Any help would be great.

* The 4 door models are positive trigger (type A), and the 2 door models are 5-wire (type C).

as i mentioned before there was an existing alarm before and the wiring is kind of a mess.  Are the two relays in the dash under the steering column feeding the door locks? Whoever installed the other alarm changed the color of the wire coming from the door locks. I am just confused where those wires go to.

ok, so i figured out the lock and unlock wires were just cut and i believe from your guys help i have it wired correctly but still the locks are not working. The truck is a 94 chevy 2dr blazer 4wd. any advice is greatly appreciated.

You may have to go straight to the switch for the wires instead of the door boot. No big deal, just a little more wiring to extend from the switch to the keyless entry module that you are installing. You have a type C system that requires this wiring diagram on the door lock wires:
