I am installing a remote starter keyless entry in a 2000 caravan with keyless entry,I want to use all on the remote starter remote when I am done. I have negative triggers from my remote starter to activate my door locks. My question is can i just tap into the relays or do i have to search for the white and green wires and use resistor. the owerner of this vehicle talked to the dealership and they say it has no factory alarm.

Thank You

 Murray

i just had a problem with a 99 plymonth voyager, i used the white and green wire, it ask for a 1500 ohm on the lock side and a 250 ohm on the unlock side. (one wire controls the locks). when i hooked it up this way, nothing happened, it would lock the doors when i was unarming the alarm, quick fix,   tap the white and green wire, put the 250 ohm(1/2 watt 5%) in place, then diode the green wire from the blue, attach both wires to the Resistor door locks will work the way they should. your white and green wire are under the fuse box, the left plug. take the cap off the plug, cut the tape back.

you don't need a diode,     you do have to use relays and the state resistor values will work fine.   I do these vans very often

Using rlays can you tap to the same white green wire or do you have to find one for lock and one for unlock.

left plug at bottom of fuse box under cover.Use relays and set up for negative trigger. Place a 4020 ohm resistor inline on the lock output, and a 665 ohm resistor inline on the unlock output. If you do not have a factory security system use a 1500 ohm for lock and a 250 ohm for unlock. Use this diagram for the relay configuration
