The new keys that Dodge has come up with this year are great, but not great for remote starters.  We had one in our shop and couldn't do it because we had no bypass.  Who on the market sells one, without having the customer to give up their 200 dollar key.

www.bypasskit.com sells a bypass. PKU-CH2. Works on the 04 Pacifica, Town & Country, Caravan, Grand Caravan, and Durango. The site says it doesn't work on the Durango, but it does.

Also, I believe the CHDL5 from them will do lock, unlock, arm, disarm on the new Durango. Otherwise, there are no arm/disarm wires in the truck. It will only disarm when it sees ignition and the transponder signal. I can't guarentee this part, but I read it at some site.

Another option for a key is to order replacement keys from Howard Keys. You can get them real cheap that way and sell them to your customers and make some money. www.howardkeys.com
The keys will program the same way as previous style Chrsyler keys.

to disarm the factory alarm, the car must see the 1st and 2nd ignition along with the transponder key

nothing like selling a 555u and a key for an alarm to function

thanks daimler chrysler

I've been told by many people that Howard does have the keys. Have you tried calling them? I think they just haven't updated their site.

I haven't done a new Durango, but I believe the CHDL5 will do arm and disarm thru the databus. Again, bypasskit's website hasn't been updated. I do remember another installer saying it worked.
