I installed a bulldog 1200e remote starter in an 00 cavalier and now the dash lights are cutting out. They did it once so I unplugged the harnesses and did the whole reprograming spiel and they worked again and now today they went out. Anyone know what the deal is? Oh and what I mean by the dash light is when I turn on the headlights there is no dash lights at night. Can anyone help?

Now they work when you unpluged them right?

It might sound stupid but i would check the dimmer switch and make sure its up. God only knows how many time when i started that i ripped apart the dash and come to find out that the dimmer was off...

You may need to isolate the parking light trigger wire off the Bulldog unit to the lights with a relay. Use a relay to trip the parking light output to the car and this will isolate the unit from the car's parking light output.

Well i found out a little more today and that is that when I turn the key off and back on the dash lights come back. I don't know much about electronics but I think something is getting reset but I don't know what and I don't know how to fix it. I am using a Dei 555L
