Hi all,
New member here. I have a 1995 Mitsubishi KS Verada V6XI with the factory alarm/immobiliser (ETACS). Its basically the same as a 1995 Diamante LS with
the SOHC 12V 6G72 engine. What I want to do is to install a chirpper so that it
chirps twice when arming and once when disarming (currently only the interrior
lights flash twice when arming and once when disarming. Is there somewhere
where I can install the chirpper to be able to do this.
Thanks in advance.
Vladimir

The tongue being in a wet place, is apt to slip.
you can find the domelight wire, put a diode on it and hook up a pulsing relay to a siren.

Does that mean that the chipper will chirp everytime the door is open? How exactly is this done?

Yes, unfortunately, there isn't a real easy way to do what you want unless you can find some "keyless entry only" outputs from the ETACS unit. There are some add-on security systems available that will upgrade your factory keyless and give you chirps but they're kind of overkill if all you are after is the chirps. Hope this helps.

I read somewhere that one of the keyless entry remote receiver pins is used to send current to the dome lights, but do not know which one.

Any takers on which pin in the remote receiver sends current to the dome light?
Also, according to the 1994, 1995-96 Diamante security wiring chart, there are two wires
for door lock and unlock above the fuse panel, if I hook up the beeper to these wires I presume I need two diodes! Would this mean that it'll only beep once both for locking and unlocking?
Thanks in advance.
