Sup people, I'm new here.  I am having a problem with my parkings light staying on by ifself only when the car is running. Switching the parking light swtich on and off does nothing to it. I have a 99 Civic si.  I noticed it happening after my alarm was installed.  I haven't had the chance to go back to the install place ( kinda far from me) which I want to see if it may be a relay or some kind connection that I can check out for myself for now before I have the chance to go back from the install place.  Any suggestions would be great. Thanks

I would take it back to the shop that installed it to have them repair it. If you can't get back right away, atleast call them to alert them of the problem. Mention that it never did that before the alarm was installed. It may be a defective module or wiring, but if you try to fix it yourself then you may create more problems or void any warranty. Most reputable shops would appreciate the opportunity to repair their own install if you approach them. It may be a coincidence that it occured when it did, but they should get the chance to confirm this.

Sounds like the internal relay for the parking lights has faulted and is now connecting pins 30 and 87 when energized with the ignition. Take it back to the shop and get the unit replaced as it will be an internal relay not an external one.

Thanks guys for you help.  This is buggin me for the last week now.  I will be going back to the install place when i can.  Do you happen to know where that relay is? I can just buy another one and replace it if its not expensive.

Yes, the relay is internal on these units. Bring it in for warranty as the relay is probably bad.
