Hi.  I'm new here and this site offers so much great information.  I thought I'd ask the experts this one.

I have a Compustar spread spectrum unit installed in a G35 coupe auto.  Problem is, that the remote start feature is intermittent.  The car cranks but doesn't turn over.  If this happens on the first of the 3 tries, it will not remote start.  Any ideas?  Thanks.

How often does it happen?  When installing the r/s on my 300ZX, I had that problem and it was the fact that I had both accessory wires hooked up and I only needed the main wire.  Just a thought.

hey jugga,

thanks for the response.  i actually fixed the problem tonight.  this has been going on for like 2 weeks and was bugging the crap out of me.  i took the 555U out and found out the transponder had moved.  needless to say, after a couple strategically placed zip ties and some electrical tape, that sh!t aint moving.

sorry if this sounds newbish, but im a dumb dumb when it comes to alarms.  i always thought the car wouldn't crank at all if the transponder isn't detected.

i guess i'll continue my lurking and keep learning from the pros.
