I recently installed a Prestige Platinum APS-996 on a 1995 Mercury Grand Marquis. Everything is working just fine, but the trunk release. I have wired up a relay using the following configuration:

87(a) - switch side of the trunk release, 30 - actuator side of the trunk release, 85 - 12 volts, 87 - 12 volts, and 86 - to (-) pulse output of alarm module

The trunk is not working at all. Does this configuration make since, or am I still doing something wrong.
