I am going to install an add on Remote Starter on a 2002 Dodge Caravan. The RS I am installing an add-on type unit. It uses either 1 or 2 negitive pulses to activate the stat sequence. I have a few questions: 1) i looked at the wiring for this van....
Factory Disarm | WHITE/ Dark Green | (665 Ohm) left Connector bottom of Fuse Panel |
how do I wire this?
2) also I need the lock or unlock wire motor circut.... to trigger the starter
Door Lock | WHITE/ Dark Green (-) | BCM at Fuse Panel 1500 Ohm Resistor |
Door Unlock | WHITE/ Dark Green (-) | White Connector B58 Connector 250 Ohm Resistor |
Driver's Lock | Brown (+) | Junction Block |
Driver's Unlock | Purple / YELLOW (+) | Junction Block |
again how do i wire this?
3) Lastly Does this van have a factory anti-theft system? My research says no
thank you in advance

what kind of add on RS are you installing?? Stand alone that required 2 lock pulses to activate or a addon to a security system.

it is a 20022 from
www.autocommand.com (designtech). It is an addon. once all the required wiring is finished, you then need to find a neg pulse (lock or unlock) does not matter, My question is must I hook up the factory alarm disarm>>>
Factory Disarm | WHITE/ Dark Green | (665 Ohm) left Connector bottom of Fuse Panel |
and how do wire that?
And two which wire do i use for the lock or unlock pulse, if need be i will use a reversing relay
Door Lock | WHITE/ Dark Green (-) | BCM at Fuse Panel 1500 Ohm Resistor |
Door Unlock | WHITE/ Dark Green (-) | White Connector B58 Connector 250 Ohm Resistor |
Driver's Lock | Brown (+) | Junction Block |
Driver's Unlock | Purple / YELLOW (+) | Junction Block |
I am assuming i can instal a reversing relay on the Brown or the PURPLE / Yellow wire, because it will unlock/lock thru the factory FOB.
