I have a 97 Ranger with factory power locks and power windows. I've seen in this forum that most of you had problems installing the keyless entry feature of your alarms, and had to put a relay to make it work correctly. My question is, will I have this problem on my 97 (all i've seen here are 99+) ????? If so, how do i fix this (diagram is possible), My alarm has only two wires to set up the keyless entry, a blue wire (unlock) and a green one (lock).

btw. the alarm is a omega k9 mundial, if this helps

thanks for the help
Ed

PWR DOOR LOCKPNK/YELDRV KICK PANEL
PWR DOOR UNLOCKPNK/LT GRNDRV KICK PANEL (TYPE B)

I would try and see if it works just buy the lock unlock wires if not here is the diagram for your locks

Just change the 87 to ground

some ranger and b4000, the etac changes polairty after 45 minutes and sets off the alarm,   you can diode isolate it, or you can go directly to the domelight to avoid this problem

I have a 97 ranger, I posted a message not long ago, I was told that I needed two relays for the keyless function to work. I tried that right now and it didin't work, the weird thing is that i conected it directly in to the alarm  without the relays and it works. Should I leave it like that or am i doing something wrong?

thanks!!!!!!

btw my power locks are not aftermarket

if you hooked up the door locks straight to the alarm and they worked, then that is fine. that means that you have a -ve output for your door locks and thats what you need...

great thanks :)

now another question (sorry ) is the acessory wire necessary? because its causing my doors to lock/unlock when I turn on and turn off my ranger, I removed the acessorie wire and the problem stopped, and the rest of the alarm works fine.

and my last question and I wont bug anymore (I hope!)
where do i hook up the door input - and +

yes you need it, it keeps the alarm from arming while you are driving down the road....you can change that feature...look the owners manual and it should tell you...

you can check in the kick panels look for the spot where the wires come from the door into the truck...test the wire with your meter....
