This is for a 99 Lincoln Town Car it has the horn honk with the factory remotes but want to use the after market remotes only & this one does not have the horn output . if you go directly to the horn wire from the lock wire the signal is to long & just want the chirp Thanks

OK i got the flasher to work but what i want to do is have the horn chirp only on locking the doors . When wireing the relay the blinker signal (pos). goes to pin 85 ,the horn comes off of pin 87 If i have constant ground on 30 & 86 the horn chirps with every blink while the car is remote running ,if i pick up a neg. signal from the door locks i get a spike to sound the horn from this. Any ideas on what to do here would be wonderful|

Use a seperate relay off your door lock output from the remote start unit and wire it to the horn. If needed you can use a diode so that locking the doors with the OEM switch will not cause the horn to honk.

The problem is the door lock pulse is to long ,you get a honk instead of a chirp

Trigger this with the door lock pulse. I use the same thing (with a 470uf cap for ~0.25s) to reduce a 1 second output pulse for trunk release.

Useing an Amenity Pro-Start Model 2300 Rs Also in looking at the relay print for changing constant to momentary in laymans terms i take a 10K resistor along side of a 1K capacitor from ground to pin 85. Then output from lock relay goes to pin 86 . now needing a neg. output can i put ground on pin 87 & get a momentary neg. output on pin 30 or do i need another relay to switch pos. to neg??? Thanks

Ok i installed the system above & it works, the beep is just slightly longer than normal , Tryed different capacitors & resistors but am flying blind when it comes to capacitors is there any place to find what they do & what size or value does what? this is interesting Thanks

Leave the resistor value alone. You can decrease the pulse by using a smaller cap. Try a 470uf like Toru uses for about 1/4 sec pulse. If too short go a little larger on the cap.
