I had an AS-6165 installed in my 2002 celica last year. I wasn't driving the car for most of the winter and therefore the battery died. I charged the battery and then it auto-armed itself and I accidentally set the siren off. When I tried to shut off the alarm I found that my transmitters (yes, I tried replacing the transmitter battery) don't work, I had to unhook the battery so the alarm/siren would shut off and left it overnight. Now when I connect the battery the siren resumes and shows no signs of quitting. So what I think happened is that the alarm reset itself to factory defaults over the winter because of the dead battery and therefore the transmitters don't work. My question is what do I do now because I can't reprogram the transmitters with the alarm/siren going off can I?

unplug the main harness to the unit for about 10 minutes after you reconnect the battery, if this doesnt cure it then you may have to clear and relearn the remotes.... the AS-4000 series was notorious for that
