OK I just installed my rattler 310D in a 97 4 door Explorer. I tested the alarm for the first time. I can turn it on, it locks my doors fine, shock sensor works fine 2 BUT, I can use my key to unlock the door, open it and no alrm goes off !! Untill the shock sensor feels the door close or if i get in too hard!

What did I do wrong?

Also your unlock wire polarity needs to be the same as your lock polarity. For the Ford it's a (-) for both lock and unlock.

Wait...I didnt get it..false alarm it was shock sensor that set it off. The balck/light blue wires (2) are both negative even when ddor is open.

And another thing. Does anyone know what color the parking light is at the kick panel?

Got IT for sure this time! The BLACK/ light blue were 3 wires connected with a diode.

And the parking lights were PURPLE / white.

Don't connect all of the BLACK/ lt.blue together with diodes, they are not all door triggers (if this is what you meant). There should be a couple that will test, but you only need to tie into ONE of them.
