If I connect my door-triggers to my alarm, do I still need to connect the dome-light sense?

you shouldnt, but are you sure it's not a domelight OUTPUT to activate the interior light when disarming the alarm, which many sytems have nowadays....

You're right it is a dome light output. I am not using it since my car already came with a dome-light delay on unlock. So thats one less wire to connect. So I only have the door-trigger left to connect. Well it is connected now but it isn't working yet.
