I have a 2000 mountaineer with the factory keyless entry, I installed a audiovox add on remote starter and it works fine, except for the fact that when the car is running my keyless entry remotes are disabled....this is a pain, because now I have to unlock the car with the key...basically defeating the point of keyless entry...

Is the a way around this??

that is the way it is going to work.....the add on has a wire that will get 12v when the key is turned on...that way you cant reach in a start the truck and get locked out....also most factory remotes will not work once the car is started...you use a stand alone keyless enrty system and not hook up the switched 12 wire..that will give you keyssless entry while the car is running...
