I am trying to install my alarm and I cant figure out why my door triggers arent working properly. I can make just the drivers side door work, or all other doors and not the drivers side. If anyone has a suggestion please let me know.

what type of door lock circuit did you ascertain it to be? -, +, or RP?

I dont have door locks, but all the doors are suppose to be + triggers as far as I know. After I have my car running and I shut it off, the alarm wont set until the last door is shut for 30 seconds. It all started after my Power seat belt stopped working. I tested the door trigger and it works, so I dont know whats the problem. But I did find a solution myself. I ran a wire off the back door to the driver side trigger and it solved the problem.????

I do have another question, maybe you can help with. What would make a car alarm go off for no reason. The only addition to the alarm is a dual stage impact sensor. I've turned the impact sensor all the way down and it still goes off.   Any suggestions????

ok first...door trigger refers to the dome light coming on and setting the alarm off.

door locks are completely different....

look here for the dome light hook up:

Dome Light RED / WHITE (-) 15 PIN L GREEN CONN. AT FUSE BLOCK

it could be a number of things..sensor could be bad
the way its mounted
the list goes on

Ok, If it is the sensor what do you mean by "the way its mounted"? Is there a certain way? Second, are impact sensors universal with other alarms? Because the alarm I have (Cyborg IV), is really cheap.

yes, most sensors can be used with any alarm. as lond as you have a -ve trigger on the alarm, then you can wire up pretty much any sensor that you want.

i dont like the impact sensor due to that reason. that work different in each car. and it only covers the area close to the sensor. the further away from the sensor you get, the hard you have to hit the car. so people increase the setting to cover the furthest point and that makes it too sensitive up close to the sensor.

if you are trying to cover a certain area, like the door handle/lock area, then i would used something like a piezo sensor from omega. they work great..
