i recently made a mistake...one i shoulda known better on.  Anyways, I have a 1998 Ford Mustang 3.8 convertible and I ripped out the stock alarm and was installing a DEI 800 alarm.  I thought I could just send the pulses (blue/green) on the lock and unlock wire like a 3 wire system.  KICKING MYSELF NOW, i remember its a 5 wire setup.  DUH!

Anyways, to make a long story short...I took the alarm out, sent it back to DEI for repair.  My car's door locks now only work on the lock function.  They dont unlock.  And its all wired back to stock.  No stock alarm.  I see 12 volts at the switch and the switch is sending...

Any Ideas?  please email me at knappoleon_2000@yahoo.com if you know whats goin on.

THANKS FELLAS!!!!

Did you install your old factory alarm back in?

Did the car have a keyles entry on it from the factory, if so then you have a postive system and not a rev pol.

and if you have no keyless then  double check your wires
