2001 Jetta - Shock Sensor addon question

So I picked up a DEI 504 shock sensor to add to my factory alarm on my 2001 Jetta.. Looks like this:

Followed the instructions from:

The 504 sensor has 4 wires:
Red - Power
Black - Ground
Blue - Trigger 1 (-)
Green - Trigger 2 (-)

So I connected the Blue and green wires together using a diode in line of the blue wire (prevents current going back into the module). That single wire was then "tapped" into the "BROWN / Red" wire of the Comfort Control Module harness. The Red wire was tapped into the RED / Black constant power wire of the same harness. The black was grounded to a ground point under the dash.

Seemed to hook everything up fine. Go to close the doors a set the alarm. I jiggle the sensor and its LED light lights up but NOTHING ELSE HAPPENS! NO ALARM! I prop the door open and the alarm goes off, but not from the sensor.  :confused:

What happened? Am I using the wrong sensor? Do I need one with a "+" trigger wire? A relay? I evened tried using an Audiovox sensor my friend has. It had 3 wires (red, black, green) and the same thing happened. . . The LED lit up when we shook it, but no alarm.  :banghead:

I don't remember off hand, but we did try just hooking up the Green wire without any diode (no blue wire). The Hood switch wire is supposed to be the BROWN / Red wire on the harness.

first test the hood wire and make sure you have the right one....try hooking up the blue wire...the green one most of the time is for pre-warn trigger....the blue one is the instant trigger

Well, do you know if the trigger wire has to be a Positive or Negative Trigger? Remember, I tried using an AudioVox shock sensor (Single stage with 3 wires) and it did the same thing. I'm assuming it had a negative trigger as well. . .
