Wow, that's a blast from the past! The 5C shouldn't have any problems going into valet. First, make sure that the black wire on the valet switch has a good chassis ground on it and the gray wire is has a good connection to the alarm. Second, test to make sure that the yellow wire has +12 volts on it when you turn the key to the run position. At this point, the valet should operate properly. This is assuming that the alarm works ok otherwise. If that doesn't help, you may want to contact Omega (www.caralarm.com) and send your control module in for repair. The good news is that your system has a lifetime warranty on it. Omega is really good about handling returns. I hope this helps.

What an expert answer!  Yellow wire checked out w/ 12.6 & I reground the black.  Tah dah!  That switch never really did work well over the years.  I guess it was the ground the whole time.  Anyhow, thanks for bringing this ‘blast from the past’ back to life!

Ha, after decoding your message, I figured it out. I'm glad yougot it fixed up. I know of some 5C's that have been working flawlessly since it's release 8 or 9 years ago. That's one of the pieces I cut my teeth on. Glad it works.
