i just came back from my local shop, and i can have this setup installed into my car: -Viper 690XV -2-Way Responder Remote -Guaranteed Protection Plan -Power Door Locks (+/-) -Power Trunk (-) -Parking Light Flash Relay(+/-) -Dome Light Supervision (-) -66-bit Clone-Safe® Code-Hopping® -Limited Lifetime Warranty -Panic (Vehicle Locator) -Failsafe® Starter Kill -Revenger® Six Tone Siren -Valet switch -Stinger DoubleGuard Shock Sensor -plus some others i dont really know about =)
in addition to the viper 690xv, im going to add a motion-tilt sensor, and an extra siren in the trunk. the guy said there'll be a siren under the dash, and one under the hood that has a backup battery just in case someone cuts the power. now he said he can install it all for about $790...is that a good deal? or is he trying to rip me off?

Prices my shop would charge, and we actually do good work unlike most of the shops out there.

 Viper 690XV base price - $400
 keyless - $45
 507T motion/tilt sensor - $80
Piezo siren under dash - $25
 Battery backup siren - $55
 Siren in back - $30
 Total - $635

My brother-in-law went to have the RSX3.5-which I got for $239,  put in his '04 Pilot at this shop.  He said they installed it free, with his purchase of a "10 flip down LCD, and DVD player.  I took a look under the dash.  No wonder why they did it free, t-taps galore and not even hidden.  Geez, I said I'd put it in.  Oh well, you get what you pay for, the LCD was bammer-couldn't even see it from the left/right passenger side, you'd have ti sit in the middle.   $790 is TOO much.
