I have a 96 Accord EX with a Stargard Security system that has been deactvated by the past owner. There are several wires which are bare under the dash Yikes! I have been told that this is a starter interupt alam. I found a black box that said RF Code Learning on it. I would like to have remote door locks and start. Did 96 EX accord come standard with remote door locks? If so I would like to fix my Accord back to the way it use to be. I don't care to use the alarm becuase I didn;t recieve the special key from the past owner. So any help with wire colors, codes, RF remote, is helpfull
Thanks

Hi!
Hey honda96,
To answer your question, yes it came with locks. POWER LOCK is a BLACK/ white and POWER UNLOCK is an orange. Both of these are negative trigger and can be found in a gray connector above fuse box in blue tape.
I have no idea what receiver you have. I've never heard of Stargard.

Thanks for the reply
I think the starter interupt alarm has its own remote function. The whole thing is so messed up. There is a white- yellow wire that looks like it goes to the fuse bos what might that be fore. IT is bare and exposed!
What would it take t get the remote locks working? Were is the factory recieve located. Maybe the past owner removed it I don't know?

Hi!
Hey honda96,
I think that only Canadian models had the gray connector in the drivers kick. The factory module is in the drivers door itself and that's where you can find the wires I mentioned before. If you have factory keyless then the receiver is under the drivers seat.

Did all EX come from the vactory with remote?
Thnks again

Hi!
Hey honda96 ,
Sorry ! Drivers kick is the wall to the left of the drivers foot where the wires coming from the door are located. Not all EX's came with factory keyless. Look under the drivers seat. If there is a module then there used to be a remote.

I checked under the drivers seat for the reciever. It is not there. I have factory power seats. I don't see how it could fit there. Under nieith the dash though is a RF module. That might be it but it has no Honda part numbers on it so I thought it might hav been with the alarm. It has a 12-15 wire plug but it is disconected.

Hi!
Hey honda96,
It's easy to identify non-Honda parts easily by the installation. Honda never tye-wraps it's modules to brackets or wire harnesses. They're always bolted with a 10mm bolt under the seat. Now you just have to find out what brand of RF you have to figure out the connections. Does this unit have a part number? Does it have an FCC number? Look carefully on all sides. How many plugs are on it? We just might get this thing wired yet!

The modul has a wire code on it. Also I think it might be a TRC Model number PEUR-3ch-pb.v4
