hi, i want to use one of the auxillary outputs on my alarm to be able to activate my neons, can i do this myself by locating the channel output wire then connecting it up to my neons? is it as simple as this or not? also is the output channel positive or negative ? thanx

output is negative. youll need a relay no matter which way you trigger the neons. most channel outputs are (-)200mA. take the output to 85 on a relay, take 86 and 87 to 12v constant, and take 30 to the lights. that will give 12v when you activate that channel. also, you might have to change the programming in the brain to latched/latched so the lights stay on until you hit the button again to turn them off.

thats the exact answer i was looking for, thanx alot, ive got cliffnet wizard so can connect it up to the laptop and configure it like that. one more question, ive got the wiring diagram for a clifford 200 but cant find one for the 300 would the wire colours and pin numbers be the same on the pin connector? thanx in advance

just found out the pin numbers are not the same, concept 200 and 400 has a 24 pin connector and conept 300 has a 22 pin connector. accessory wire pin numbers for the 300 are 1. grey/Blue wire 5. Green wire and 15. grey/purple wire

how many channels does the alarm have and how can I acces them, I have the concept 300 with 4 button remote. I have read the installation notes and owners manual and cannot find reference to the extra channels (if any at all) It is my aim to use the boot release button to switch on a CarPC. I would eventually like to control a number of things from these extra channels but am not sure of the combination of buttons to press on my remote or which wires to tap off the brain. Any help appreciated

I am not exactly sure of the concept 300 specifics, because that was a uk specific model, however trunk output on clifford is gray/purple, the other auxiliary channel is gray/blue, and if this model has a third output it is gray/red. If it has an icon on the remote, it has to have at least a trunk output. There was only one u.s. model that had one extra output, all the others had two and three.

aaahh....so there is no elaborate key combination then to have multiple outputs? there is only a couple? or to put it another way, if there is a button for it then it has an output. I think I got it now, will have a play with it tonight. Cheers
