hi,

I have some questions about a window rollup module i purchased from asianwolf if anybody knows how they work good.  First i was wondering why it needs one wire to the switch and one to the motor? Would it work if i just hook up the motor wire and do not cut the wire to roll up the windows....or could i hook up the switch wire and the motor wire both together and then to the window rollup wire?  On this rollup module there is a orange activation wire.... a ground wire...a +12V wire....a left motor wire...left switch wire...right motor wire....right switch wire...and a "to accessory item" wire. Does anybody know what the "to accessory item" wire would do? Could that be to a sunroof/moonroof or something?

First let me say I have NO experience with the specific module your using but in general here's how they work. Normally the orange activation wire goes to the armed when out (-) on your alarm which is also usually orange. This rolls your windows up when you arm the alarm. The accessory will go to a spare channel on your alarm (auxillary, accessory, maybe a trunk release output if you aren't using it, etc) which when you activate the spare channel should roll the windows down or possibly vent them.

Next thing is that you must cut your wires and hook up the switch and motor sides. It won't work any other way. The window wires normally rest at ground and get 12volts when you hit the switch. If you try to send 12volts into the window wire without cutting it, you are sending 12volts into a ground. That is a dead short. It will blow your fuse instantly..You must cut the wire and hook up the switch and motor sides up correctly.

Also you didn't list what kind of car this is for as there are different types of window systems I'm just describing the most common one.
