Was wondering how much Voltage in amps or milliamps is needed to switch a standard bosch type 30 amp relay??

I think you confused Current and Voltage. The Current that passes thru the coil of a relay (86 and 85) is about 150 milliamps.
The ideal voltage is 12 volts, but they will usually trigger down to about 9 volts.
