I am trying to hook up the window mods on a 2001 chevy xtream blazer. I got the alarm working but i can't get the the window mods to roll up when you arm the alarm system. I hooked up the ground when armed wire to the ground when armed wire in the relay. It seems that, that wire is just staying ground. is there any other way to do this so when I arm the system the windows roll up?

Thanks Matt

Hey Matt, do you have constant power going to the 530T and did you find the right window control wires ??

Yes the window mods work fine, it's just rolling them up. they roll us as soon as the car is turned off, (of course because the Ignition turns ground then no key is in there.) but he want's them to also roll up when he arms the alarm system.  I just can't seem to find out why on the alarm the "ground when armed" output is seeing a ground when not armed (when key is not in the Ignition)

Is there any type of relays i can woork with to make this work?

Is this wire programmable ? Does the wiring guide tell you anything about this wire as far as programming options ?

No the wire is for the relay to tell the relay when to not let the car start and when to let the car start.

I realize what the wire does, just wanted to make sure that this wire is not programmable as it is on some units that I have worked on where you can have it as 3 different functions from one wire.

Did you add the diode for this connection ?

Yes I did put a diode to this connection. I tried to flip it around to see if that made a diff. but no luck.

Well , I have noticed on the Viper 791XV and new Valet 554R the "Ground when armed" wire (orange) will get ground as soon as you turn off the ignition and the starter killer engages.

Try to set :
Passive Arming - OFF
Passive Locking - OFF
Forced Passive Armin - Off

Let me know if it helped.

Temporarily ground the orange wire on the 530T. It should roll-up the windows.
