Ok, I am new to this whole resistor thing. This is only my second install and the first was on a 91 accord so I didnt need any. I have a 95 Mazda Millenia and it says to use a 1K resistor to bypass my factory alarm. First of all where can I buy a 1k Resistor, and how do you wire them up? I see in the resistor second of the site it shows how to calculate them or whatever, but how easy is it to wire them up?

just run it in series with the wire you are connecting. and remember solder is better.

What do you mean, run it in series? There is only one wire so I dont understand how you would rund the resistor with one wire, I wish there was some kind of diagram showing me the basic one wire resistor connection. Then I would understand. If anyone could draw a diagram for me real fast with the art program or something and send it to me at: hivolt2k2@aol.com it would be greatly appreciated.

Here's a better way to disarm without using the resistor for the Millenia:

To disarm with out unlocking, send a positive trigger to the blue / YELLOW key sense wire.  The key sense wire is located at the steering column.

Just cut the wire and splice the ends solder the wire onto the resistor same with the other side then shrink wrap or ele tape.  Of course I could be wrong because I also am new to this
