Hi Everyone, I am kinda new to this forum so please let me know if i break a rule or something. Anyways, I recently bought a Rattler 369D remote start system and woul dlike to install it in my 1996 Voyager. The van however has an aftermarket Ziebart Alarm. I was wondering as to how can these two be connected together, Basically i would like to arm and disarm the ziebart alarm with my Rattler Remote. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks

this mean that you have to run around w/ two remote. mind as well take out the existing one and install the rattler. i think the rattler doesnt have alarm though, only keyless and RS.

Thanks for the reply. So theres no way to connect these two?, Rattler is just a remote start and keyless entry system it doesn't have alarm. It does have alarm arm and disarm wires.

the arm and disarm wires are for a factory system...which i take it you dont have one. ------------- Good Luck

you can use the rattler as an addon remote start, thats what you can do. which mean that youll only need ur exist remote to control ur rattler's RS

keep in mind khosa that the typical range on an alarm is about 50-75 feet whereas the typical range of a remote starter is about 1000 ft. in order to link the two together you would need to shut the alarm down first and the remote start and since your RS unit cannot shut off the Ziebart alarm then you would need to get close to the car to shut off the alarm first, which is senseless unless you are parked in your garage or on the street directly in front of your house. Go with a good RS/Security combo unit and be done with it ------------- Kevin Gerry

That is a very good point, i think i'll just take the alarm off. One more question, if i connect the RS parking light wire to the alarm siren as well, would it chirp before starting, so that i know it got my command.

they might depending on the unit, but do you want your siren burping the whole run time? that would be annoying as anything

there are very good hybrid units out there... we sell lots of them.... look for something like that...where the RS function talks to the Alarm function internally, then everything works together smoothly and as a bonus you now get 1000+ ft distance on the alarm remote as well
