I have a Karr alarm system in my car right now and the alarm use the stock horn as a siren for the alarm. I want to add an aftermarket siren ( 6 tones). I have study and research and found alot of information regarding this, but the setup for the relay are different. And I have a negative output from the alarm.

Here what I found:

86-negative out put from alarm

85-ground

87-constant 12v fused

30-out to horn+ aftermarket siren

Is this diagram correct? Please help any information will be very helpful. Thanks!!!

this relay configuration is to change your negative output to positive which is correct, now the only thing to remember is that a horn output as it is on your alarm is set as pulsed and a siren output is steady, some alarms have programmable features where this is possible to switch.
if your alarm (which iam not familiar with)does not have this feature, use a relay and before mounting the siren, just have it outside and trigger the alarm.if it sounds okay(usually it would be a pulsing noise-which would sound funny)then mount the siren.

Thanks for the info, that really help.

Does anyone know how to make my alarm use the stock horn at a pulsed, but still have the aftermarket w/ 6 tone going as a steady output?
