I got the alarm, the KG-880 by King's Gun (mobile security system) hooked up.  But i have a problem with the remote starter, as soon as it starts with the remote starter it cuts off a few seconds later.  On the wiring diagram it says under "note 1" to ground the e-brake.  Can somebody help me with this, tell me if i place the BLACK/ red hand-brake swith wire to the brake light wire or is the wire they want me to ground.  If not how do i ground the e-brake.  This is the wiring diagram for the alarm - https://www.q3wholesale.com/kg880diagram.html

What kind of car do you have and the year ? It sounds to me like you don't have the tach signal programmed properly in the module. Re-check the tach learning has been completed properly and post your results.

yea wht he said...you gotta set the tach option to 12 volts...and probablly turn the "Engine check: off"....its a matter of programming...if its cranking and starting but not lasting, its not the install, its the programming...flip through the manual, theres programming features...not familiar with the alarm you bought but i dont see why there wouldnt be a Menu with the different options.

I have a 99 dodge stratus.  well the car stays on when i put the key next to the ignition switch.  I think its the transponder but i was told to use the tach wire to fix it.  Can someone help me please.  I've located the tach wire.  Now what??

Does your Stratus have a gray or black ignition key?  The gray ones have the transponder chip in them.

There are several ways to interface with the transponder key system during remote start.

You can buy a module such as DEI's 555U or Audiovox's AS-TCBM.  You'll fasten one of your spare keys inside the module, and affix the provided ring of wire around the car's ignition switch.

You can make your own, homemade 555U with an ordinary automotive relay and some thin wire.  But it's tricky to get it to work right unless you've already done it a few times.

DEI also makes another module, called the 555C, which doesn't require you to give up a spare key.  You do, however, need to have TWO working keys on hand to program the 555C.

You should simply compare the cost of a 555C, to that of a 555U + the cost of another spare key at your dealer, and choose whichever is the better deal.
