Alright bout to do a remote start on an 01 expedition and curious to see if that one has vats or any type of anti theft mod from the factory. done a lot of these just rusty it has been a while...... thanks to all this site rocks...

if the top of the key is real big then yea there is a transponder in it and u have to use the bypass to do a remote start

A transponder key is standard equipment on every Expedition made.
