I am having trouble with my parking light flash output. I want to have my hazzards flash instead of my parking lights. Here is the problem. When it comes to my hazzards the flasher unit for the turn signals and hazzards are in one unit along with the hazzard button on the dash. Even the clicking sound for the turn signals are in this unit. When I test the wires at the back of the hazzard button to see which one is for the lights out side the car there are two wires, one for the left and one for the right side of the car. I thought it would be ok to hook the output from the relay off the alarm to both wires. It works fine, the hazzards flash with I arm the alarm, BUT when I turn on my turn signals, both sides of the car flash?! I rechecked the wires I have selected with the hazzards on and the wires are the correct ones. I need help please!! I have a 1999 Chevrolet malibu v6

you probably have to diode isolate those 2 wires you ran.
MAKE SURE YOU USE HEAVY AMPERAGE DIODES ( 6 AMPS)
OR you could use use a SPDT relay as follow:
Take the output of your alarm and hook it up to one of the hazard wires (LEFT SIDE) and also hook this wire to the 85 of a relay:
85: to your positivie output from your alarm
86: Ground
87: 12 Volt
30: to the other hazard wire (RIGHT SIDE)
This way you would have 2 separate islolated circuits for your hazards.

"MAKE SURE YOU USE HEAVY AMPERAGE DIODES ( 6 AMPS)"
Thanks for the help. I went to Radio Shack today to get the Diode, and there were a bunch! I didn't see any that said 6amps. The one I got says "aener diode, Voltage:12.0v, current:21mA, Max power dissopation 1.0W, 12volt. Would this be the right one? If not when I am looking for it, what should I look for? Thanks again for your help! David
