I am installing a combination remote start and alarm in my car and bought an installation manual to help me install it. The manual I bought tells how to hook up a relay for my 1st and 2nd ignition wire. It tells me to hook up from the alarm to the relay a ”(-) output when remote start activated" wire. I can't seem a wire with that name in the instruction manual that came with my alarm. What wire would this be? For the accessory wires it uses the same setup but wants an output called "(-) output when remote started". Which wire would this be? I also have this problem with my starter kill relay. When using a relay it wants me to hook up a wire from my alarm called the "(-) ground when armed output" Which wire would this be? Thanks for the help.

Basically I need to know what else these wires coming from my alarm would be called:

(-) output when remote start activated

(-) output when remote started

(-) ground when armed output

Thanks for all the help.

I have a 99 Ford Escort Zx2. It does have the extra wire on board for the second ignition wire but  want to learn  how to do it just in case because I was hoping to eventually get a job installing remote car starters. What do you mean I can use a pre-wired relay? Where would I get that. Thanks
