Hi, I have a 96 Ranger pickup, with a Commando FM-5000 remote start alarm, worked great until I did not drive it for a couple months and the battery went dead. Replaced battery with new one, and now the alarm will not arm. I tried to program remote, remote will not program. I checked all connections and they all show power where they are supposed too. LED works for door trigger, shock sensor, motion sensor. Door locks work when lock or unlock bye key, but not by remote. When I try to program remote, instead of getting a chirp from the siren I get a strange woo, woo, woo is the only way to describe it, kind of. I have tried valet mode on and off, and LED stays on when in valet mode and turns of when valet mode is shut off. I checked all fuses and even removed and checked inside of alarm brain. I think somehow the on-board relays got fried maybe, I noticed a kind of white powdery coating on the ends to the main power to the on-board relays, do not no where to go from here. Any help greatly appreciated, thanks.

the strange wooo, woo, woo noise is generally associated with a bad groud...make sure you have the brain properly grounded.
