Can you tell me where to get a pin or switch that can detect the hood opening. Can I get somehting at radio shack? Because if I go to the stereo / alarm shops it would be like $20 I bet. Well a door actuator cost $28.!!!

what kind of car is it? some cars out there have stock pins that you can just tap into.

If you plan on getting a remote-start, a hood-pin switch comes with it, inclusive, for no extra charge.
