This is really becoming a pain. I played around with this unit for about 2 hours today, and I was unsuccesful. I went through previous post and didn't find anything that could help me out. When I put the key in everything is fine. When I go to do the programming..the red light doesn't even come on to start the programming. I have no idea what I could be doing wrong. I'm sure I have all the right wires on it. Anyone have an answer? Oh I have a RS3.5 and I used the "instant trigger" for my trunk but it keep saying the trunk was open all the time..do I need a relay to reverse the polarity of it? And my last question was the person who had this car had a Matrix3 on it and took the RED / white channel two wire and tapped it directly into the trunk release on the car and it worked fine. I took my RED / white wire from my alarm and did that and it didn't work. I'm not sure what is going on with this alarm though..the led is still blinking from when I set the alarm off even after I put the key in the ignition..and the valet switch is not doing anything when I press it..Anyone have an tips for me?

Yea I'm using the Dei 555h. I think it may have something to do with the ignition wire somewhere...because the alarm doesn't reset when I put the key in the ignition. Usually if you set an alarm off and you put the key in the ignition the led will go back to its normal state. But it still blinks three times letting me know that the door trigger was set off last.

you cant enter programming if you arent connected to the ignition, constant, and ground.  check those.  as for a trunk trigger, did you even test the wire you used to see if it was (+) or (-) trigger?  because then you would have known if you needed to change polarity.  and as for the trunk release they are usually (+) trigger and require a relay.  however, if you had again tested the trunk buttons wires you would know what is needed.

i am not familiar with the 555h but i know a 555U works.  just stick a second key in the but and place the antenna ring.  thats probably why it works when you put the key in.  it gets the transponder code.

-try grounding the blue(-) to see if the LED turn on, if it doesnt check ur power/ground that goes to the unit, if not you have a problem w/ ur 555h

Remote start issuse solved! The car works fine when remote starting. But the something else is bothering me now. It's acting like there is no ignition wire. It will let me arm and disarm the alarm like there is no key in the ignition when the car is running.
