I am trying to wire up the Autopage 850 and I wanted to know how to not hook up the remote start. I know if I ignore the starter wire of course I would be OK, but there are other stuff on the remote start harness.
1) 2 fused wires for 12V.. it says if there are 2 wires going to the ignition harness that has 12V, hook one to each of the wires. Is it necessary?
2) ignition one. I think I need it
3) ignition two. Do I need it.. My car wiring info does say there is such a wire.
4) starter output. Ignoring this one
5) accessories. I think I don't need to hook this up?
But I don't know if my alarm has "stop and go" feature (seems like it can do this??) If so, than I think I would still want to hook up the wires 1) 2) 3). So that my car can hold the ignition on during this feature... is this correct?
Yes, it is still necessary to hook up both 12 volt wires because one is the the main CPU while the other is for the onboard relays that power accessories like locks, parking lights, etc
Ignition is not required unless this is an input for ignition so that the unit knows when the car is running
2nd IGN is not required
Starter is not required
Accessory is not required either
If you still want the stop and go feature, you have to have all the wires hooked up that are listed above with the exception of the starter wire.
