Hi Everyone!

Decided to register since many of the post related to 6thgen Honda Accords have helped me in regards to headunit and keyless entry installs. I am currently having issues with the keyless entry install with www.microalarm.com model DLR4HD.

So far the following work:
-Power +12VDC
-Ground
-Parking lights
-Unlock

The following does not work:
-Lock

The strange issues:
-Locking will work randomly after many tries. Unlocking will work every single time. The built in relays sounds like it's double pulsing the locks

Troubleshooting I've tried:
-verified connections for +12VDC, ground, parking lights, lock, unlock, and LED indicator
-reconnected the unlock, lock using quick connects
-ran the (+)12VDC straight from the battery to be sure temporarly
-ran the ground to another source on the frame to be sure temporarly
-checked all fuses
-checked all color codes
-removed pin 6 on the keyless entry unit to enable double pulse which did not work, disabled it later
-same results of will lock after many attempts but unlock works without a hitch. I even allowed at least 8-10 seconds between lock and unlock to allow the relays more time to switch, which did not work.

Diagram for a 2 pin alarm system using the built in relay from the manual is as follows (www.microalarm.com), reading from left to right is alarm color first then Honda color code second
-Red (+)12VDC connects to Honda White +12VDC in the ignition harness
-Black (-)ground connects to Honda Black (-) in the ignition harness
-White(+)parking lights connects to Honda RED / Black(+) driver's side fuse box
-Blue/Black Unlock connects to Honda WHITE/ Black in 2 pin connector driver's side
-GREEN/ Black Lock connects to Honda RED / Green in 2 pin connector driver's side
-BROWN / Black Ground
-RED / Black (+)12VDC
-WHITE/ Black Ground
-PURPLE / Black (+)12VDC

Am I missing anything? Any suggestions? Thanks!

Ken

your ground point should not be at the ignition also on that micro you have to power down the unit when you change jumpers seems like everything else is correct in your info but you are aware that your doors will not lock with drivers door open

I was told by another individual from another board that the ground in the ignition harness is not consistent. It is now grounded to a point next to the driver's side fuse box. Yes, the doors have been closed during the troubleshooting procedures with the same results of attempting to lock via the remote and the keyless module will automatically unlock a second later. After many attempts it will lock. Additional troubleshooting ideas:

-will need to break out a volt meter to see if (-) is being thrown out for the door locks

-will attempt to reverse the lock/unlock wires to see if the situation reverses

-when I changed the jumpers, the module was powered down each time
