After about a month or 2 my fromt windows stick . i constantly have to keep pressing the up or down to get the window to move ...with one press in only goes about an inch....i have discovered that cold solder develops on the inside of the window roll up module (dei i think it is the 530t)on chips... i reheat them with new solder and will solve my probs...
it usually happen on the driver window the most because of the constant use it gets...
my question is: does the high current to drive the motors flow through this box and the traces on the circuit board of the 530t cannot handle this amount of current?

I had to upgrade my 530T for my mustang.  THe factory dip switches didn't provide enough juice for my windows.  So I soldered in some new resistors.  I will see if I can find the article on the DEI site for you.  Sounds like exactly what you need to also.

I found it let me figure out how to attach it now.

I have a 98 Navigator that I just installed a new 530t in. I am running 10 gauge wire to it, but I can never get full travel. I set all the dip switches to the least resistance (max power), and verified that I have a new 530t with surface mount resistors soldered on the circuit board. I assume these cannot be changed. Do I have any options to get more power out of this thing, or should I look for an old one and try to put new resistors in it. I have tried the omega, crimestopper and several generic window roll-up modules, and none work well. I really like the one touch automation system. HELP!

The resistor issue has already been addressed, like 4 years ago. You should no longer have to solder in a resistor, there should be new dipswitch settings. By the way the resistor setting is not how much power goes through but when the module will stop, so turning the resistance down is actually making your problem worse. Which window are you having problems with? Where is the module located, in door or under dash?

Thanks auex, actually I have tried every setting and none of them work. I mounted the unit in the door and ran 10ga. power wire. The ground is good, I did double check by running directly to the battery with the same results. I've tried at least 3 window modules with the same results, I've lubed the window mechanism. I think my window mechanism is too stiff. I think I'm going to go with relays and a timer.

No, the ground is not good. Never mount the unit in the door, the unit is NOT waterproof and the ground is crap in the door. What good is 10 Gauge power wire when you ground the wire is screwed to the door. Run the ground into the vehicle and ground it there, then try it.
