The DEI tilt sensor I've got has only one state, it will ground.

I want to tap into the "instant on" wire of my shock sensor harness.   My question is do I need a diode on the tilt sensor wire going into the shock sensor instant on wire?

Or do I need 2 diode, 1 on each wire?

I don't think I need any diodes at all?  Should be no problem if the sensor A getting grounded by sensor B?

I dont think you want to hook it to your shock sensor harness.  What is the tilt sensor for?  There should be a negative triggered instant wire on your alarm.  Hook it into that.  If you have a DEI alarm, the wire should be grey.  If not, what alarm do you have?

Tilt sensor is to detect if someone jack up the car (even gently)

I have the autopage, but the tilt sensor is DEI..

The shock sensor that comes with the autopage is like other alarms... one wire you ground is pre-warn.. another wire you ground is instant on.  going into the alarm from the 2 stage stock sensor

So I should be able to just tee the tilt snsor output to the instant on wire right?>

You need to install a diode to ensure that there is no feed-back from the other sensor.

why are you hooking it up to the shock there is a instant trigger for trunk or hood on the alarm. Or instant start input would really freak them out. I did this to a guys car that had his rims jacked 2x in a month
