first off as most installers know, the fatory alarm arms/disarms with lock, and unlock, so after the installer put a 791xv in the vehicle and connectec the 5 wire system trunk pop, when the car is armed via 791xv remote and trunk pop is used using 791's remote, the factory alarm goes off (beep beep etc) press unlock on the 791 and it goes off any one have this prob before or any ideas how to fix it...

Well since the cars lock and unlock wires are a negative pulse system and the channel two output is probably negative also what I would do is take the channel two output and diode isolate it going to the unlock wire. What should happen is that when you pop the trunk it will send a negative pulse to the alarm disarm wire and the alarm wont go off.  Also the car requires a double pulse for unlock so the doors will not open if you are just going to pop the trunk. I hope this answered your question.

well, i set the settings in the dei menu to single pusle door locks and driver opens( unlocks only), then press unlock again and the pass opens, now if I set it to 2 pulse it opens driver 2 seconds later pass opens, so wouldn't a single pulse still open the driver door, also I disconnected the i guess light harness from the trunk and it pops now and the alarm dosn't go off, nor does factory. but it looks like the trigger is disconnected from dei alarm, any ideas..

Well if you disconnected the trunk light neither alarm system will know if the trunk is broken into. If the locks are working ok then leave them bu try to do what I said with the diodes and see what happens.

Doing it this way will not bypass the OEM alarm system. The way I understand his problem is that the OEM alarm is being set off when you use the DEI  remote control to open the trunk ? Am I correct ? If so the only way to disarm the OEM system is to pulse a single pulse to the door unlock wire at the same time you want the trunk to open. What needs to be done is split the trunk release output to the door unlock wire as well as the trunk release relay and diode isolate this wire so that the trunk doesn't open everytime you unlock the doors.

The only problem with this is that you will need to lock the doors again after you are done in the trunk. Not a big deal but a pain for some people.
