I don't understand which way the sensor is suppose to face the front of the car, does it matter at all?

Which way is the "motion" and which way is the "tilt"?

The sensor control module must be mounted at an angle no greater than 45 degree angle. The case top must be facing upwards. For best results its good to mount on the floor of the car.
