I have tinted window including the front and my LED is barely visible from the outside.

I have the autopage 850 alarm and I want to know if I cut off those two wires for the existing LED, what can I replace it with?

I don't really want to use the ground when armed output..

Will one of these work?  It says run on 12V though.

I have used several of those VARAD replacement leds for alarms I've installed and they work fine. You can hook them up directly to the positive and negative leads from your old led, or you can wire them to start blinking as soon as your car is turned off.

I wanted to know I can just hook it straight up to the existing alarm LED output like you said.  Even if it was the wrong voltage I won't damage my alarm brain right?

worse case the new LED just get underpowered?  Would it draw too much amps or something like that.
