Ok, so I got the alarm in, but when I go to remote start it, it just clicks the relays, and that's it. I have the 555U hooked up, and acording to DEI I only need to connect theIgnition, and the Accessory up from the remote start. From DEI: Notes: Starter wire is not required for remote start. When the vehicle sees that the ignition wire has voltage and the accessory wire lose voltage, it automatically cranks the starter.

Also note: There is a white wire and a WHITE/ black wire at the ignition harness that perform the following: key sense, second ignition, and starter (300ohms)

What kind of remote start are you installing?
I would suggest a couple things. First, try moving the 555U's antenna ring away from the key cylinder, putting the key in the ignition, and testing the remote start then. If it starts, then your problem is somewhere with the bypass. If not, check to make sure the accessory wire is not getting powered by the r/s as an ignition wire.

Yeah tried the key thing, same thing happens..............that is what was suggested to me about checking the wires, I will have to do so.......... I was also showed this, and said I may need to do this........

looks like a similar system to the newer Ions...i make my own bypasses using a similar diagram to the one above and they always work good.... try that.....

The new Malibu's have both Passlock II and Passkey III (transponder). Yeah thats right! They incorporated a transponder in the key for an factory immobilizer. Contrary to popular thought, the car won't start when acc. power is lost after ignition and acc are turned on. The car's computer must see the correct Passlock signal and only then will the car's starter be activated. The best option is to use a transponder based bypass for the key and a bypass designed for the Saturn Ion or new Colorado's for the Passlock II portion. It gets tricky, but it can be done.

Ok tried this tonight, and the thing just turns on all the accesories, and the remote start thinks that it is started.

Ok, so I did the following last night, and Also connected the 555U when I do the remote start, it turns on everything in the car, Radio, A/C, Etc, but it doesn't actually start the car, no crank, Another thing that I thought was strang was that I had the "White" wire cut, had pin 87a connected, the "WHITE/ black" wire connected, and ground connected, and it started with the key without pin 30 going to the BCM side. Also I tried this with a key sitting in the ignition as well just to make sure it wasn't the 555U

you dont use a 555u all you need is to follow your diagram and use a 5% 300ohm resistor

I tried with and without, same result, what gets me is the fact that that wire was cut, and it still started

Ok, got it in and working, only one thing........when I tried to use 300 Ohm resistor it did not work, so I tested the key sense, and it ended up being 1.3K Ohm at crank, so just a heads up, test the keysense wire for resistance, acourding to DEI it SHOULD have been 300 Ohms fixed on the Malibu's
Thanks for all the help guys!!!
