Hey everyone. Ok heres the deal. I got a cheap keyless entry kit on ebay. I've boughten 10 or so before from this guy and have had no problems installing them in cars. Until I decided to install one for my friend in his Mitsubishi Diamante 1992. The keyless entry kit has four wires. Black - Ground, Red - 12volt, Blue - Option 1 (unlock), Green - Option 2 (lock). Now normally I just connect a power, ground, and then remove the automatic lock panel and tie into those wires. Well this car had a hundred (actually 15 or so) wires coming out of one harness and then 5 out of another. All on the same panel. He has automatic windows, and automatic locks already. I just need to know what two wires to tie into to get his keyless entry to work right. On the install sheet I got with the unit it came with a wire chart for his car. However it says. "Caution! This car uses a data link system for power windows, each switch in each door is a local control unit. Wire colors given are at switch in each door. Other vehicle systems are also controlled by data link."
Do I need to over ride this data link thing, to get this little unit to work right?? Please help me all you great installers. This has my mind wondering!!!!

ok. Would those wire colors be the same at the switch harness??? I've found those wires, but I couldn't find them at the fuse box. Are these the same wires???? Also is there a constant 12v around any of these wires. That way I don't have to run a power wire to the battery. I don't like tieing into the fuse box, but I love tapping into wires. lol. Please help and I appreciate all your responses so far. Thanks.
