can someone tell me which color wire is for the tach lead on the coils of a 2001 gmc sierra w/ a 5.3 v8. vehicle has individual coils..diagram shows white wire which does not exist..

The white wire can be found at the instrument cluster or at the computer behind the drivers side headlight.

If you want to use a coil wire, you will notice each coil has 4 wires if I remember correctly. Three of those wires will be the same color on every coil. You want to use the wire that changes color every coil.

thanks.. that is exactly what i was thinking..that it would be the different color wire on the color but u saved me ther hassle of guessing...
