How can I run wires from the driver side door to inside car on a 98 VW GTI VR6. I'm trying to get to the power window wires in the door for my window module but I cant find an easy way through..

There is no easy way just run it thru the boot. What you want to do is remove the door panel and the panel inside the car where the boot ends .Go to your local hardware stores electrical section and ask for the goop that is used to pull wire thru conduit. I can’t remember the name but they will know what you’re talking about. Trust me this stuff makes it a lot easier. Then grease up the wire and boot and try to fish the wire thru the boot. Try to wiggle the boot some times that helps. Hope this helps

A GTi Vr6 would normally have total closure - well in the UK at least. If you extend the lock pulse on the Grey wire it would raise the windows.

My car does have the auto roll up when the lock is held but wont extending the lock pulse damage the motor if the window is already up. Its basically like holding the window up button when the window is already up. The lights dim meaning and it causes a current draw that way. I was going to use the module cause it senses that current draw and stops immediately.

Well, pushing the window switch is not the same as holding the door lock over!!!

In the UK we extend the lock pulse all the time and I have yet to have a problem doing this, in fact, when I was working for the after market supplier to VW UK, we did it this way for them.

I dont think you'll find it a problem
