I have had my Compustar SS 2 way installed for about 2 weeks now, range is amazing and so far I love it just 2 things I want to get straightened out.

1. I seem to get a lot of false alarms at night when the car is just sitting there, I think it's becasue of my shock sensor placement, currently I have it attached to a bunch of wires near the steering column using a plastic tie. I am going to reposition it but was curious where you guys recommend?

2. I was told before that a limitaion of the SS model was that I can only have 1 remote at a time programmed to the unit but I just read a post and the person said that they had both remotes on thier SS. How do I program the second 1way remote? Can anyone confirm if you can or can't have 2 remotes programmed to this unit? I don't want 2 2ways I just want the 1 2way and the 1 1way.

I am pretty sure you can have a 2way and a 1way programmed at the same time...get both remotes ready when you are about to program them. Turn the ignition on and off five times you should hear the brain acknowledge and the park lights should flash to confirm. Press button "I" on the two way and lock on the 1way ,park lights should flash when you press the buttons on each remote to confirm. Hope that helps.

SWEET!!! I finsally got a chance to try your instructions today. Worked great! I can now use both remotes. Thank you very much for your help!! posted_image

Surely you can turn down the sensitivity so that the loud exhaust car won't set it off.

It's really supposed to go off when someone punch thru your windshield with a baseball bat

So no need to set it so sensitive.... so the neighbors won't learn to ignore it!

Tied to some wires would get swinged much easier so it would false more....

I just put mine on the heater duct with velcro.. the velcro would make it less sensitive to buzzes caused by loud cars. But it works for me.

the sensitivity is on the lowest setting. I'll try the velcro idea. Never tried mounting one like that. Thanks.
