I have 98 chevy p/u that has a factory theft system. Is this the vats system that has to be by passed for the remote start to work? I'm installing an Autopage 850. How do I by pass it? Thanks alot Brian.

| Notes: | NOTE: This vehicle has the passlock II immobilizer system that, when adding a remote start, must be interfaced with. The absolute easiest way to bypass passlock by far is by using a PLDATA databus bypass module. All you do is connect a hot, a ground, a trigger wire from the remote start, and one wire to the purple databus wire in the truck. Plus I like the fact that you don't have to tear the column apart, all connections are under the dash when you use a PLDATA. Look at www.bypasskit.com
