I’m trying to run a wire for siren in the engine compartment of a Hyundai Sonata 2002. It seems impossible to run it through the main (and only) grummet, which transfers the wires from the engine compartment to inside of the vehicle. Do you have any ideas how should I run that wire?

Is there a safe spot to drilll a small hole and use another grommet of your own? Thats what I always do.

the last one I did was an automatic and drilled where the clutch would be

Well there should be. Best way to tell is with your eyes. Where the clutch would be is an excellent candidate like eurotech says.

Be sure to check one major thing. The brake booster/master cylinder. I cant tell you how many times that I have seen people drill right through the booster/master cylinder. I know it sounds stupid but In the factory grommet all you need to do is use an exato knife and make a small slit on the rubber grommet. You should have plenty of room for 1 wire.
